mutton dressed as lamb
這個習語的意思是指，女性盡量把自己往年輕了打扮，特別是愛穿給年輕人設計的衣服。
例：Do you think this skirt is too short? I don't want to look like mutton dressed as lamb.
你不覺得這裙子太短嗎?我可不想讓人覺得自己裝嫩。
no spring chicken
表示青春已逝，人已經不再年輕了。
例：That actress is no spring chicken, but she does a pretty good job of playing a twenty-year-old girl.
那位女演員已經不年輕了，不過她演20幾歲的小姑娘還演得挺不錯。
long in the tooth
這個習語與馬有關。通常馬過了壯年，咀嚼能力就會慢慢衰退，牙根也會隨著年紀的增長而顯露出來，牙看上去就會變長。所以人們就用這個短語表示“上了年紀”。
