About Self-Study

Depending on my personal experienceand emotional preference, I find that self-study is an extremely important skillfor those who want to learn new things.Thereasons are as following.

根據(jù)個(gè)人經(jīng)驗(yàn)和情感偏好，我認(rèn)為自學(xué)對(duì)于一個(gè)想要學(xué)新東西的人來說是一項(xiàng)極為重要的技能。理由如下。

First, self-study is aneffective way to broaden our horizon and extend our knowledge.We can arrange our time and adjust our process flexibly according toour own concrete situation. For example, as college students, we can use someof our leisure time everyday to learn other subjects by self-study in additionto our major knowledge. At the same time, we also can extend our majorknowledge by self-study of other subjects.

首先，自學(xué)是我們拓寬眼界，增長(zhǎng)知識(shí)的一個(gè)有效途徑。我們可以根據(jù)我們自己的具體情況自由地安排時(shí)間以及調(diào)整進(jìn)度。比如作為一個(gè)大學(xué)生，我們可以每天利用一些空閑時(shí)間來自學(xué)除了專業(yè)知識(shí)以外的其他學(xué)科，與此同時(shí)，通過自學(xué)其他學(xué)科，我們還可以拓寬我們的專業(yè)知識(shí)。

Second, self-study is a process to developour ability of thinking and management. Self-study is a process that we gainknowledge or skills by our personal effort without others’ instruments. Therefore,in this process, we need to make choices by ourselves, arrange and control timeand process by ourselves, think about all kinds of questions by ourselves andfind out the solution about different problems by ourselves. In brief,self-study is all about us basically.

其次，自學(xué)是培養(yǎng)我們思維能力和管理能力的一個(gè)過程。自學(xué)就是我們?cè)跊]有他人指導(dǎo)，通過個(gè)人努力獲得知識(shí)或技能的過程。因此，在這個(gè)過程中，我們需要自己做選擇，自己安排和控制時(shí)間，自己思考各種各樣的問題以及自己找出不同問題的解決辦法�？傊�，自學(xué)基本上都是關(guān)于我們自己的。

Finally, self-study is a method to keeplearning. As the saying goes, “it is never too old to learn.” And our schoollife will come to an end some day and only through self-study can we keepourselves learning all the time. Thus, all of us need to form the habit of self-studyso that we can make a progress everyday.

最后，自學(xué)是保持學(xué)習(xí)的一種方法。正如俗話所說：“活到老，學(xué)到老”。我們的學(xué)校生活總有一天會(huì)結(jié)束，只有通過自學(xué)我們才能一直保持學(xué)習(xí)。因此我們都需要形成自學(xué)的習(xí)慣，這樣我們才能每天都有所進(jìn)步。

In a word, self-study is essential andnecessary. Keep studying something new everyday and you will find yourselfimproving a lot some day.

總之，自學(xué)是很重要的，而且是必需的。每天保持學(xué)一點(diǎn)新東西，總有一天你會(huì)發(fā)現(xiàn)自己進(jìn)步了很多。
